The Future can be terrifying for parents of children with emotional or mental disabilities. What will become of their children? What can the future possibly hold in store for them?

Thankfully, their futures, while still uncharted, do not have to be bleak in any way. On the contrary, with some support, many people with disabilities are able to function at a high level and to lead full lives, with independent options.

However, they have usually struggled for years, and often suffer from poor self-esteem and considerable anxiety. In addition, because they do need some support, they may live at home well into adulthood, which limits their social opportunities.

I find independent living options and special needs education alternatives for families, so as to help their family members increase their confidence and independence, develop their strengths, and enrich their lives, as a result of special needs assessment consulting and specific agency referrals.
